Not only viewing the sunset at the Grand Canyon was a lifetime experience, but writing about it proved to be one too! When seeing announcement that National Geographic Latvia is looking for the best travel story of the year, I knew that this is something that I really want. Not only I became the winner of the monthly competition and my story was published, but I later won the annual one too and went to the headquarters of National Geographic in Washington and wrote another story (in Latvian) that was published!
