It’s really true that there are still plenty of old American (and Soviet) cars in the streets of Havana. Although quite many of those have become taxis these days (owners pay 2 CUC per day for a licence), but there is plenty of really old and rusty ones that are used only for personal use. Our local guide told us that the typical tourist trap is a pink cabriolet car, as no Western woman can pass that. And we did see many, many of those. Our ride was a beige 1957 Ford.
