A few years ago I finally read Gone with the Wind, and although it did not become my favorite book, once I had the chance to visit the Southern states, I knew Savannah, which is mentioned numerous times in the book, would be among the points of interest. When preparing for the trip and reading online what to do there, I read one woman’s comment that Bonaventure cemetery is supposedly the most beautiful one in US, and is much more interesting that Arlington or St. Luis Cemetery Nr.1 in New Orleans. I am not sure how one can determine what kind of cemetery is beautiful. Bonaventure definitely was not the most well-kept, but it had its charm, if you can say so. And seeing so many sculptures of the angels, I immediately remembered Dr.Who and Weeping Angels, who happen to be among my favorite characters, well described by:
Whatever you do, don’t blink
Don’t blink.
Blink and you’re dead.
Don’t turn your back.
Don’t look away.
And don’t blink.
Good Luck
I am sure Whovians will understand me! 🙂
